and here's Sick Little Suicide and some of the goodbye stuff after the song.....
oh and if u feel like it read the 'video info' on the youtube page, it's a sappy fanboy type of letter that i felt the need to write with this video...which may or may not be the last song they play as the Matches ever..... 
oh and the quality will improve when the video is completely done 'processing', so just refresh it later if it looks fuzzy to you now...it'll get better. |

My right foot is so bruised up.
I had to escape after Superman, I was so sweaty my fingers were wrinkled and i could squeeze it out of my hair like i just stepped out of the shower. I'm happy to have been half in the middle and watched the rest from afar, Because i was able to really watch it and take it all in with out being distracted by the sweat burning my eyes, the crowd pulling off my clothes or the task of not dying. For me it didn't really sink in that it was the last time. Watching the videos now make it seem more final. I think the worst of it will be when I'm going through my usual withdraws after a few months and remember oh yeah.... But last night was intense, i was glad Justin was there and Dylan too, everyone was great. Except Shawn never appeared by the time i had to go so i didn't get to say goodbye to him. I wish i didn't have to worry about getting home and getting up the next morning is all, but over all the night was happily memorable. |

Does anyone remember the setlist from the Fillmore? I almost have it complete. I'm gonna post it on my blog in a little bit. I'll post the link when I
do. But I think I might be missing a song or two.
1. Did they play something in between "Didi" and "Papercut Skin"? 2. Did the play Eryn Smith? After "Chain Me Free", I vaguely remember hearing the lyric, "Your bitchin." Maybe I imagined it. haha Help me out if you can. Thanks! |

Weekend was awesome, too bad it's over.... will post pictures and stuff when I get home, whenever that may be...

just got home, this weekend was intense. its nice to be able to put a (real) face with the names i see on here, although really i only remember a few of the
connections made (most were 'oh you're...' and then forgotten). i intend on posting pictures this evening, got only a few crappy ones (as well as
crappy video) from la but tons of good/decent ones (and more crappy video) from sf. i admit it, i cried (though at the time it was just 'sweat') and
i'm really glad that so many of us were able to be there for it. i'm also glad that the matches ended the sf show the way they did...nothing special or
sappy, just a thanks and ended it like they always did.

I'll spare you going into detail how much this band has affected me and the array of emotions I felt these past two shows, but it meant alot to see soo
many of you come out for these. big big thanks.
In addition, does anyone have video of Shawn & Jon singing with Dizzy for "What Can I Do?" and also footage of Matches & friends during "Wake the Sun" at the Fillmore show? I'd appreciate seeing it & stealing it for my use :P |
